Redmi, on September 6, launched the A1 as its new entry-level smartphone in India. The budget smartphone is targeted toward those who want to either upgrade from a feature phone or get their hands on the Android mobile operating system for the first time. The phone has been priced at Rs 6,499. Xiaomi seems to be working on another smartphone in the A-series. The upcoming Redmi smartphone could be called the A1+. 

There is no official word from the brand regarding the launch of the A1+. The device, which is codenamed snow, will feature a MediaTek processor. It has been listed on the Google Play Console website ahead of its launch. Let’s take a look at the Redmi A1+ specifications, features and other details.

Redmi A1+ Specifications 

Redmi A1+ could be the next smartphone in the A-series. The device has been spotted on the Google Play Console website ahead of its launch. The listing revealed that the phone has a MediaTek MT6761 SoC, which is the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It will launch with 2GB of RAM. The phone also comes with a PowerVR GE8300 GPU.


There is a water-drop notch at the top of the display. The screen, like the A1, has an HD+ resolution of 720x 1600 pixels. In addition to this, the Google Play Console listing reveals that the phone runs Android 12 out of the box. We can expect the A1+ to run stock Android out of the box.

Other details of the upcoming Redmi smartphone are unknown at the moment. The phone is expected to launch in global markets soon. We currently do not know the display size of the upcoming A1 series smartphone. The listing also does not reveal the camera and battery specs of the A1+ either.
