Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi A1 smartphone soon. The Redmi A1 was spotted on multiple certification websites including FCC and BIS. The smartphone also made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmark database. Now, Redmi India, in a cryptic social media post, has hinted toward the launch of the Redmi A1 in the country. A social media post by the company’s official handles read “We are bringing some exciting #DiwaliWithMi launches“.

Redmi A1: A New Entry-Level Series Under Redmi?

The Redmi A1 was spotted on the Geekbench database earlier this month. The benchmark listing for the upcoming smartphone revealed that it could be powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come pre-loaded with Android 12.

Based on this, it appears that the upcoming Redmi A1 will be an entry-level smartphone and might undercut smartphones such as Redmi 9A and Redmi 10A. The Redmi A1 will bee around 76.56mm wide and will be 164.67mm in length.

There isn’t much that is known about the Redmi A1 in terms of specifications. However, we can expect it to appear on more certification websites ahead of the launch. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the launch date/timeline for the Redmi A1. However, since the Redmi A1 has already cleared BIS certification, so we can expect it to launch soon in the country.

The Redmi A1 will also be rebranded as the POCO C50 for the Indian market, as revealed in a recent IMEI database listing.
