Xiaomi’s Redmi recently teased the launch of the Redmi A1 in India. The brand is launching the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G on September 6 in the country. The brand has now confirmed that the Redmi A1 will also make its India debut at the same event. Xiaomi took it to social media channels to make a formal announcement for the same. The teaser shared by the company also reveals the design and overall look of the upcoming Redmi A1.

Ahead of the launch, a micro-site has also gone live on Mi Store which reveals some of the key specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi A1. Let us take a closer look at what Redmi A1 might have in store for us.

Redmi A1 Will Be Powered By MediaTek Processor

The launch micro-site reveals that the Redmi A1 will be powered by a MediaTek processor. Xiaomi has not revealed the exact processor details but an earlier benchmark listing suggests that the device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor. The launch micro-site further reveals that the Redmi A1 will come in three colour options – Green, Blue, and Black. All three variants appear to have a chic-leather finish.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi A1 will come equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit. The smartphone is also confirmed to offer a dual-rear camera setup along with dual-tone LED flash. The Redmi A1 will come with a waterdrop notch display and we can expect it to feature HD+ resolution only.

The Redmi A1 will have power button and volume rockers along the right edge similar to other Xiaomi devices. The device will likely not offer a fingerprint scanner as it is nowhere visible in the images on the launch micro-site. Xiaomi is also said to introduce the Redmi A1 Plus which will offer a fingerprint scanner as well but it is not clear if the Redmi A1 Plus will launch in India.
