Redmi A1+ Budget Smartphone Confirmed to Launch in India: Expected Price, Specifications

Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of a new Redmi A-series smartphone. The company launched the Redmi A1 earlier as its most affordable smartphone of 2022. The device ran stock Android and offered an affordable smartphone experience with a large screen, big battery, etc. Xiaomi has now confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in the A-series. The Redmi A1+ is confirmed to launch in India later this month.

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi A1+ in India on October 14. The device was launched earlier this month in Kenya. We can expect the India variant to feature the same specs. Let’s take a look at the Redmi A1+ specifications, features and other details ahead of its launch.

Redmi A1+ India Launch

Redmi has confirmed that the A1+, its new affordable smartphone, will launch in India on October 14. The phone is likely to be priced under Rs 10,000. Considering the A1 was launched for Rs 6,499, the Plus variant could be priced at around Rs 6,999 or Rs 7,499. The biggest difference between the A1 and A1+ is that the latter has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Redmi has confirmed that the phone will launch in Green and Blue colours at least.

The invite also confirms that the A1+ has a water-drop notch at the top. The phone has a dual-camera setup with an LED flash module. Other details are likely to remain the same as the A1.

The A1+ will sport a 6.52-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It has support for a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device draws power from a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and is likely to offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage.

On the back, there is an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the A1+ is likely to feature a 5MP front camera.
