Xiaomi has launched a new pair of truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds in India. The company has launched the Redmi Buds 4 Active as its new budget wireless earbuds in the country alongside the Xiaomi Pad 6. The new Redmi earbuds feature some decent features that make it an appealing buy for the price. The TWS earbuds sport a stem design and feature silicone ear tips for better grip and noise isolation.

The new Redmi Buds 4 Active are the company’s new budget TWS earbuds launched in India for Rs 1,399. The earbuds will be available at an introductory price of Rs 1,199 during the first few days of the sale. It is available in two colours — Black and White.
The new Buds 4 Active will go on sale from June 20 via Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home Stores and other retail channels.
Xiaomi’s new Redmi earbuds sport a semi-in-ear design. The earbuds seem to have taken an inspiration from Apple’s AirPods Pro for the design. There is a fairly tall stem with silicone ear tips. The stem can be used for touch-based gesture control to adjust audio playback, calls, triggering voice assistants, etc.
Each Redmi Buds 4 Active earbud packs 12mm dynamic drivers, which, according to Xiaomi, offers powerful bass. The earbuds also offer support for Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), which essentially reduces ambient sound for a better listening experience. The feature can be useful particularly while answering calls outdoors. The Redmi earbuds also offer support for low-latency gaming mode.
Xiaomi also revealed that the Buds 4 Active features support for Google Fast Pair, which quickly identifies Bluetooth devices near an Android phone and lets users connect devices with a quick tap on a notification. The earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The earbuds also come with an IPX4 rating for basic splash and sweat resistance.
Each earbud packs a 34mAh battery, which is claimed to offer five hours on battery life. The charging case packs a 440mAh battery and is claimed to charge the earbuds six times completely. Each earbud weighs about 3.6 grams, whereas the case weighs 41.2 grams.
Xiaomi claims that the Buds 4 Active will offer up to 90 mins of playback with a 10-minute charge. The earbuds take about 42 minutes to charge completely, whereas the charging case will recharge fully in about 90 mins.
