Unsurprisingly, all the leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming Redmi flagship have begun to coalesce into a confusing mess. A few days ago, it was discovered that Xiaomi was working on two smartphones – codenamed “Davinci” and “Raphael” – that will most likely feature pop-up selfie cameras. Well, a new screenshot was spotted over on Weibo that gives us a look at the internal storage of the Snapdragon 855-equipped Redmi flagship smartphones that just happens to be named “Raphael”. According to the leak, the phone will come with 256GB of internal storage. The confusing part here is that previous leaks have suggested the Redmi flagship would feature a punch-hole camera.

Whatever selfie camera setup the phone ends up getting, we now have a decent confirmation that the phone will feature 256GB of storage. Then again, leaks in the past have suggested the phone to come with 128GB of internal storage instead. Therefore, we might be looking at a higher-end variant here, and the phone might offer two storage options. According to the screenshot, it is also confirmed that the phone runs MIUI 10 9.4.22 which most likely runs on top of Android 9.0 Pie.

Another screenshot in this leak has a message box with the head that states “GPU Overclocking”. While the exact message has been censored, the options available underneath say “Close” and “Open”. This suggests the smartphone will offer AI-assisted options to boost CPU and GPU performance, and perhaps the phone will come with Game Turbo mode just like many of the other Xiaomi smartphones.

Redmi Flagship Said to Feature Super Wide-Angle Rear Camera

Thanks to Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing’s incessant need to answer fan inquiries on his Weibo posts, we also have confirmation of quite a few aspects of the upcoming Redmi Flagship. First off, his responses suggest that the phone will come with a super wide-angle rear camera. MyDrivers reports that the Redmi Flagship will consist of a 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple sensor setup. Here, the 13MP camera will be the same ultra-wide sensor seen on the Mi 9 SE. Furthermore, Weibing is said to have revealed that the Redmi flagship will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and will even support NFC.

A few days ago, Weibing confirmed that the Redmi flagship would not be called the Redmi X. Other leaks have suggested the phone will feature a 6.39-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution. The phone is tipped to offer 8GB of RAM, and feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
