Xiaomi Redmi K40G

Xiaomi Redmi K40G is expected to launch soon. The company has dropped a new teaser on Weibo, confirming its launch in China. The Redmi K40G will be a new edition to the Redmi K40 series, with the K40 Gaming Edition being the most recent one.

The upcoming Redmi K40G is likely another performance-focused phone. The company has not revealed any key specs of the device. However, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the processor details of the device. According to the tipster, Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi smartphone under the K40 series will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. The same processor is found on the likes of the Mi 11X, iQOO 7 in India.

Xiaomi could debut the K40G as an alternative to the K40 Gaming Edition. The latter features a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood, which gets close to Snapdragon 870 SoC in terms of benchmark tests.

Considering all K40 series phones have featured a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, the same can be expected from the K40G. It could also get a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The phone could get a 48MP or a 64MP triple-camera setup under the hood. Xiaomi is expected to confirm more details in the coming days.
