Redmi K20, K20 Pro Sales Clock 1 Million Units in Just One Month Ahead of Launch in India


Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones have hit the bull’s eye in China. Launched a month ago, both K20 and K20 Pro phones have received a positive response from the consumers in the region and managed to touch a sale milestone of 1 million. Geared with substantial features and specs, both the phones aim at offering the best value for money in the mid-range segment. Rivaling OnePlus’s latest phones, the K20 and K20 Pro are all set to be launched in India later this month.

Redmi K20, K20 Pro Sales Clock 1 Million Units in a Month

In a tweet posted by Xiaomi’s Global Spokesperson, Donovan Sung, it was revealed that both K20 and K20 Pro surpassed the 1 million mark in just a month from launch. In his tweet, Sung wrote, “Great news, Mi Fans. Excited to announce that shipments of the #RedmiK20 series hit 1M units in the first month! Thank you to our Mi Fans for your support! #Redmi #InnovationForEveryone.” Although it is yet another success mark obtained by Xiaomi, Sung did not mention the individual share of K20 and K20 Pro units in reaching the milestone sale.

Of course, this is not the first time when Xiaomi has tasted thundering success with its new smartphone offerings. The Chinese manufacturer witnessed similar response for its Redmi Note 7 series. In fact, the Redmi Note 7 clocked over 10 million units sale in 129 days since its launch. Besides, the Mi Band 4 also sold over a million units in merely eight days of launch.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Launching in India Soon To Rival OnePlus 7 Pro

As we mentioned in the beginning, Xiaomi is planning to launch the K20 series in India soon. Both the phone should debut sometime later this month. Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi K20 Pro Explorer program in India that enables select users to experience the phone ahead of its official launch in the country.

Powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC clubbed with pop-up camera design, the Redmi K20 Pro is expected to rival the OnePlus 7 Pro (review) in India. It has a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen, 48MP+13MP+8MP triple rear camera setup and a 20MP selfie snapper on the front. Not just OnePlus 7 Pro, the phone would also be competing with Oppo Reno 10X Zoom and ASUS 6Z in India. We are excited to see how Xiaomi prices the K20 Pro to challenge its rivals in India.
