
Last month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 smartphone in China. And ever since then, there have been a number of leaks and rumors suggesting that the Redmi K20 will launch as Mi 9T in the European market. Well, those reports have turned out to be true. Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi 9T smartphone, which is the rebranded Redmi K20, in the European market. And Spain is the first country to get it. Xiaomi Mi 9T Price and Availability
In Europe, the Xiaomi Mi 9T comes in two variants. The base variant has 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and it costs €329, while the variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage costs €369. The Xiaomi Mi 9T will go on sale starting 17th June from Amazon and Xiaomi’s official retail channels. Also worth mentioning is that the base variant of the Mi 9T will be available with a discounted price of €229 for the first 24 hours of its sale.
Xiaomi Mi 9T Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 9T features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The display features a nearly bezel-less design, and what’s even better is that it is free of any kind of notch. To make the display notch-free, Xiaomi has put the front-facing camera in a motorized, pop-up module instead of putting it in a notch above the screen. Moreover, the display features HDR and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. And speaking of the display, the Mi 9T has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Powering the Mi 9T is the Snapdragon 730 SoC; it has eight Kryo 470 cores and Adreno 618 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie OS with MUI 10 customization. Just like the Redmi K20, the Mi 9T also comes in two variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
The Mi 9T has a triple-camera setup at the rear in 48MP + 13MP + 8MP configuration. As you might have guessed, the 48MP camera is the primary camera sensor, the 13MP camera is an ultrawide unit, and the 8MP camera is a telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. The 48MP sensor and the 13MP sensor have phase-detection autofocus, while the 13MP camera has a fixed focus. The front-facing camera of the smartphone is a 20MP unit that sits in the motorized, pop-up module. As for the video, the smartphone can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second with its rear camera, and Full HD videos with its front-facing camera.
The Mi 9T is backed by a 4000mAh battery, and the battery supports 18W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. The Mi 9T also comes with all the modern connectivity options, such as USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, and dual-SIM with dual-VoLTE. The Mi 9T also features a 3.5mm audio jack.
