Redmi K20 Pro AnTuTu Score Released, Outscores OnePlus 7 Pro to Become the ‘World’s Fastest Phone’

Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India, has put out a tweet revealing that the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone has scored 388,803 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, and the brand is now claiming it to be the ‘World’s Fastest Smartphone.’ Up until now, the OnePlus 7 Pro was the chart-topping smartphone in the AnTuTu benchmark with a score of 373,953, but now Redmi K20 Pro has replaced the OnePlus 7 Pro to gain the first position in the AnTuTu benchmark ranking.

As you might know, the Redmi K20 Pro made its debut alongside the Redmi K20 on 28th May at an event in China. Soon after the debut in China, Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will launch in the Indian market in the next six weeks, i.e., sometime around mid-July. Although we haven’t reviewed the device yet, the Redmi K20 Pro has the best specifications among all the smartphones in its price range. Speaking of specifications, let us have a look at what the smartphone has to offer, and also its expected price in India.


Redmi K20 Pro Specifications

The Redmi K20 Pro is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature a pop-up front-facing camera, and this has allowed the display to be bezel-less and free from any kind of notch. The display is a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED unit with Full HD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and HDR.

Powering the Redmi K20 Pro is the Qualcomm’s flagship chipset for 2019, the Snapdragon 855; it has eight Kryo 485 cores and Adreno 640 GPU. Like most other Xiaomi smartphones nowadays, the Redmi K20 Pro has Android 9 Pie operating system with MIUI 10 customization. The Redmi K20 Pro is available in four configurations – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

The Redmi K20 Pro has three rear cameras; a 48MP main unit with Laser and Phase-detection autofocus, a 13MP ultrawide unit with 12mm focal length, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, laser-detection autofocus, and phase-detection autofocus. The 48MP rear camera can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second. As I mentioned earlier, the smartphone has a pop-up front-facing camera, and it has a 20MP resolution.

The Redmi K20 Pro has a 4000mAh battery that supports 27W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. The connectivity options on the Redmi K20 Pro include dual-SIM, dual-VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Redmi K20 Pro Expected Price in India

In China, the Redmi K20 Pro costs CNY 2,499 (approximately INR 25,000) for the 6GB + 64GB variant, CNY 2,599 (approximately INR 26,000) for 6GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,799 (approximately INR 28,000) for 8GB + 128GB variant, and CNY 2,999 (approximately INR 30,000) for 8GB + 256GB variant. The smartphone is expected to cost the same in India as it does in China. If not, it could carry a premium of around INR 3,000 over what it costs in China.
