Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch its new K-Series devices at a launch event in China later today. This new series from the company will initially include the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. We have been hearing about the specifications and other aspects of both these devices for a while now. What we had not seen were ‘proper’ images of these handsets. There were a few images in which the rear panel of one of the K20 Series handsets was seen. Yesterday, however, clear images of the Redmi K20 Pro and its Chinese retail packaging leaked on Chinese social media website Weibo.

Redmi K20 Pro Images Leak Hours Before Launch

As seen in the images posted below, the K20 Pro has a large 6.39-inch AMOLED display. The fact that it is an AMOLED can be confirmed from the sticker on the display which also outlines some of the other specifications of the device. The K20 Pro also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner and lacks a display notch. This is because of the fact that the front-facing camera will be of the pop-up type. As for the retail packaging, the box has a different, classy color tone when compared to what we have seen so far from Xiaomi and Redmi. There is also a prominent Mi badging on the box. Here are the images that were recently leaked.

Redmi K20 Pro: Confirmed Specifications, Features

The Redmi K20 Pro is the more premium of the two devices that are set to be launched today. The K20 Pro will come powered by Qualcomm’s flagship-grade Snapdragon 855 SoC. Previous leaks have revealed that the K20 Pro will feature up to 8GB of RAM  and 256GB of storage. The phone is also likely to be made available in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+129GB configurations although we are not sure at this point if all four variants would make it to India. Like OnePlus devices, the K20 Pro also comes without a microSD card slot. The phone, however, will be dual-SIM capable. Powering the deK20 Pro will be a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging.

The rear camera setup consists of a primary 48-megapixel camera, a13MP wide angle secondary camera, and a third 8MP telephoto camera. The main camera is capable of recording 4K 60 videos and has support for 960fps slow-motion videos as well. The front facing camera housed inside the pop-up mechanism will be capable of capturing 20-megapixel images.

More details about the Redmi K20 Pro and the K20 should be out later today when the phone is officially unveiled in China. We should also learn about the India launch date soon.
