Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi K30 smartphone in China. The device comes in a 5G variant and a 4G variant with some key differences in specifications. That said, almost all the leaked specifications of the device were indeed correct. Let’s have a look at the prices of all the variants of the Redmi K30, as well as the specifications of the device.
Redmi K30 price
Starting things off with the 5G variant of the Redmi K30, the device is launched in four memory combinations. The base variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and is priced at CNY 1,999 which roughly translates to somewhere around INR 20,140 in India. The 6GB/128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,299 or around INR 23,150. The 8GB/128GB variant would cost you CNY 2,599 or around INR 26,200. The top-of-the-line 8GB/256GB variant of the Redmi K30 5G comes with a price tag of CNY 2,899 or around INR 29,200.
The Redmi K30 4G edition, on the other hand, the 6GB/64GB variant of the device is priced at CNY 1,599 or around INR 16,100. The 6GB/128GB variant is kept at CNY 1,699 or around INR 17,100. The 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants are priced at CNY 1,899 (around INR 19,130) and CNY 2,199 (INR 22,150) respectively.
Redmi K30 specifications and features
Starting things off with the display of the device, the Redmi K30 features a 6.67-inch full HD+ LCD display with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. The USP of the display is the fact that it features a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K30 comes in four color variants – Blue, Red, Purple, and White.
We get a dual punch-hole selfie camera with the Redmi K30 (a 20MP AI-powered main sensor and a 2MP secondary shooter). Speaking of cameras, the Redmi K30 5G sports a quad rear camera setup (64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor + 8MP super-wide-angle sensor + 5MP macro lens + 2MP depth sensor). The Redmi K30 4G edition, features a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP combo. The dual-tone LED flash sits right underneath the circular camera module.

Moving on to the processing power of the device, the Redmi K30 5G is powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. On the other hand, its 4G counterpart makes do with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. The Snapdragon 765G chipset is clocked at 2.4GHz and it is paired with the Adreno 620 GPU.
Speaking of the battery, the Redmi K30 5G features a 4,500mAh battery. The same is the case with the Redmi K30 4G, but the difference lies in the charging speed. While the Redmi K30 5G features 30W fast charging, the 4G variant has only 27W fast charging support. The battery, as claimed by Xiaomi, can be charged in just around an hour.
As far as the OS is concerned, the Redmi K30 runs on Android 10 out of the box with the company’s latest MIUI 11 on top of it. For biometrics, the device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Infrared sensor, and A-GPS with GLONASS.
