Redmi K30 and OPPO Reno 3 Pro Confirmed to Launch with Snapdragon 765G 5G Processor

We have got to see plenty of announcements after yesterday’s Snapdragon Tech Summit wherein the company announced its latest mid-range 5G chipset dubbed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor. Right after the launch of the chipset, the officials from Xiaomi and Oppo announced that their upcoming smartphones, the Redmi K30 and the Oppo Reno 3 Pro will be powered with the Snapdragon 765G chipset.

Note that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset is the gaming-centric variant of the Snapdragon 765 counterpart.

Starting off with the Redmi K30, Bin Lin, Xiaomi’s Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman confirmed the news about the Redmi K30 processor. The company had already talked about the processor revelation for today morning yesterday itself. Speaking of the specifications of the device, almost everything about the Redmi K30 has already got official ahead of the December 10 launch. The Redmi K30 will be fueled with a 4,500mAh battery which will have support for up to 30W fast charging. The charging tech, however, will be different from the typical 30W charging as claimed by the company via a post on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo.


Moving on to the display of the device, the Redmi K30 will feature a 6.7-inch display with a 4.4mm dual punch-hole at the top right side. The display is also rumored to have a 120Hz refresh rate.

For photography, the Redmi K30 will utilize a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor. As of now, the resolution of the front camera setup is unknown.

Coming to the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphone, Alen Wu, vice president and president of global sales at Oppo confirmed the same processor for the device. Post that, Brian Shen also confirmed the same on Twitter.

Speaking of the specifications of the device, not much is known about it as of now, save for a 7.7mm thick/thin body, presence of 5G, a 4,025mAh battery, all encased in a package that is less than 180 grams.

As of now, this is all we know about the Redmi K30 and the Oppo Reno 3 smartphones, but since both of them are launching soon, we can expect to get more information on them in the coming days.
