Google took the wraps off Android 11 last month and rolled out the update for Pixel devices. Other OEMs also followed the suit soon and began rolling-out Android 11 update for their flagship devices. Xiaomi is no exception here, as the company has already rolled out Android 11 update for Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro globally. A few other Xiaomi devices such as Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i, and Mi 10 Youth have already received Android 11 based MIUI update in China. Xiaomi, with this week’s Beta update, has updated Redmi K30 4G and Redmi K20 to Android 11. What comes as a surprise is the fact that the Redmi K20 Pro has not yet received Android 11 update. It should be noted that this is not a stable roll-out and the update is available only for MIUI China Beta ROM users for now. POCO X2 Android 11 shouldn’t be too far now!

POCO India launched the POCO X2 in India back in February, which is a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G. POCO India GM, C Manmohan had confirmed Android 11 update for POCO X2 long back. With Redmi K30 4G receiving Android 11 update in China, the platform version update for POCO X2 doesn’t look too far now. We can expect POCO to roll-out Android 11 update for POCO X2 by the end of this year or early next year. Note that, POCO has not revealed any timeline for Android 11 for their device so far.

As of now, Android 11 update for both the devices is limited only to MIUI China Beta ROM users. For those unaware, Xiaomi has different software versions that are based on the regions for every smartphone. In China, Xiaomi has a Stable as well as a Beta ROM, and the Beta ROM gets updated every week.
