Xiaomi‘s Redmi launched its first-ever gaming-focused smartphone – Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition last month in China. The smartphone comes with a 120Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, and a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast-charging. Now, it seems like Redmi will soon launch a cheaper variant of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. Redmi Spokesperson, Lu Weibing took it to Weibo to tease the upcoming smartphone and revealed that the smartphone will be called Redmi K40 Light Luxury Edition. The upcoming Redmi K40 Light Luxury Edition is expected to launch soon in China.
A Redmi smartphone with model number M2104K10AC was spotted on 3C certification last month, this could be the upcoming Redmi K40 Light Luxury Edition. The upcoming Redmi device should be very similar to the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in terms of specifications. To recall, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition carries model number M2104K10C. The Redmi K40 Light Luxury Edition is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, compared to the Dimensity 1200 on the K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
The K40 Light Luxury Edition will likely be amongst the cheapest smartphones to feature 67W fast-charging. While rest of the specifications of the upcoming Redmi K40 series device are expected to be the same as that of the K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
