Redmi K40S Specifications and Features
The latest Redmi K40 series device flaunts a 6.67-inch Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display with a 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 360Hz touch sampling rate. It supports a 50,00,000:1 contrast ratio, 1300nits peak brightness, and is HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certified as well. The display panel comes with a centered punch hole notch and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, it sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor that is fabbed on a 7nm process. The system on chip brings with it an integrated Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS3.1 storage. It boots MIUI 13 out of the box.
The handset offers a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary camera includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and OIS. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119° field of view. There is also a 2MP macro lens on the smartphone. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 20MP shooter.
The K40s is equipped with a 4500mAh battery unit and supports 67W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual-SIM, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Galileo, Beidou, and Glonass.
The Redmi K40s comes in four colour options – Black, Grey, Blue, and Green. It measures 163.2 × 75.95 × 7.7mm and weighs 195grams.
