Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50 series in China. In addition to the K50G which was launched previously, the company has now introduced two more smartphones under the premium lineup. These include the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro. The devices are expected to launch in India under the Xiaomi or Poco branding.

Both Redmi smartphones come with MediaTek Dimensity flagship processors and an AMOLED 120Hz display. The K50 Pro comes with support for 120W fast charging that is claimed to charge a 5000 mAh battery in under 20 minutes. Redmi K50 series price

Redmi has launched the K50 series in China. The vanilla K50 comes in three storage options in China. Its base model has 8GB RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage and is priced at CNY 2399 (roughly Rs 28,700). The phone also has another 8GB RAM option with 256GB storage. It is priced at CNY 2599 (roughly Rs 31,000). The top-end 12GB + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 2799 (roughly Rs 33,500).

The K50 Pro comes in four storage options. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options are priced at CNY 2999 (roughly Rs 35,800) and CNY 3299 (roughly Rs 39,400). The two 12GB RAM options with 256GB and 512GB storage are priced at CNY 3599 (roughly Rs 43,000) and CNY 3999 (roughly Rs 47,800).

The phones arrive in Silver, Black, Green and Gradient Blue colours.

Specifications and features

Both devices come with a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen has HDR10+ certification and Dolby Vision support. It also comes with a layer of corning Gorilla Glass Victus and DC Dimming. Both devices boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

The K50 Pro+ comes with a triple-camera setup on the back. It has a 108MP HM2 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP tele-macro camera. The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support and draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.

Redmi K50, on the other hand, has a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The phone comes with a 32MP front camera. It packs a 5500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC under the hood.
