The Redmi K50i will go on sale for the first time today as a part of the Amazon Prime Days sale in India. To recall, the Redmi K50i 5G was launched earlier this week and marks the comeback of the Redmi K-series in the country. The Redmi K50i is a performance and gaming-centric device and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The smartphone offers a 144Hz display panel and a 5080mAh battery.

The Redmi K50i price in India is Rs 25,999 for the 6GB + 128GB configuration. There is also a 8GB + 256GB configuration variant which costs Rs 28,999.

The Redmi K-series smartphone offers a 6.6 Full HD+ LCD display with 2460×1080 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 270Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel supports a 1400: 1 contrast ratio and goes as high as 650nits in terms of brightness. The device features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and supports HDR10 as well as Dolby Vision.

Under the hood, the K50i sports an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor coupled with an integrated Mali G610 GPU. The Dimensity 8100 is fabbed on TSMC’s 5nm process and brings with it up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset boots Android 12-based MIUI 13. Xiaomi has also promised two Android version upgrades and three years of security updates for the K50i.

Moving on to the optics, the Redmi K50i packs a triple-rear camera setup which includes a 64MP primary shooter with an f/1.89 aperture. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The latest K-series smartphone relies on a 16MP selfie shooter.

The latest Redmi smartphone is backed by a 5080mAh battery unit and 67W fast charging support. It offers a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an IR blaster. The smartphone packs a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio.

The Redmi K50i comes in Quick Silver, Stealth Black, and Phantom Blue colour options. It measures 163.64 × 74.29 × 8.87mm and weighs 200grams. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6, NFC, GPS, Glonass, and Galileo.
