Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of the new Redmi K50s series in China. The company is expected to launch two new flagship smartphones, namely the Redmi K50s and the Redmi K50s Pro. The K50s series is already confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s new mobile flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Some more details of the upcoming Redmi K50s Pro have leaked online.
The device will be the pricier model of the two phones launching in August. Tipster Yogesh Brar has listed some key details of the phone ahead of the launch. Let’s take a look at the Redmi K50s Pro specifications, features and other details known so far.
Redmi K50s Pro Specifications
Redmi K50s Pro is expected to launch in China in August 2022. The device’s key specifications have been listed online ahead of the launch. Tipster Brar claims that the phone will feature a 200MP main camera sensor. Xiaomi could become the second smartphone brand to launch a phone with a 200MP main camera. Motorola will be the first brand to launch a 200MP smartphone camera on August 2, which is the Moto X30 Pro.
Currently, Samsung ISOCELL HP1 and HP3 are the two available 200MP sensors. It is not clear which sensor will feature in the K50s Pro.
Brar further revealed that the phone has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. It will feature a 20MP front camera. The device will also come in two RAM and storage options. The base model will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There will also be a 12GB + 256GB storage option.
Xiaomi will pack a 5000 mAh battery in the K50s Pro. It will support 120W fast charging out of the box. The phone will sport a 6.67-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen will come with HDR10+ certification and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The K50s Pro will feature dual speakers and run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. There is no word on whether the K50s series will launch outside China. The Redmi K50 Gaming was launched globally as the POCO F4 GT. We can expect something similar with the K50s series.
