Redmi K50S, K50S Pro August Launch Officially Teased as Redmi GM Confirms Next Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Phone

Xiaomi’s Redmi, back in February, introduced the Redmi K50 series and launched the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. Later in March, the brand added two more smartphones to lineup – the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro. The brand is rumoured to launch the Redmi K50S and the Redmi K50S Pro in the coming weeks. In the latest development, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing took to Weibo to share the teaser for an upcoming smartphone launch, which might be a Redmi K50S series device.

Weibing confirmed that the upcoming Redmi flagship device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Based on the teaser, it appears that the Redmi K50S series might go official sometime in August in the Chinese market.

Redmi K50S and Redmi K50S Pro: Specifications and Features

The Redmi K50S Pro was recently spotted on the 3C certification database. The certification listing for the smartphone revealed the model number of the device which is 22081212C. Apart from the model number, the listing also revealed 120W HyperCharge fast charging support on the Redmi K50S Pro. The device is rumoured to come equipped with a 5000mAh battery.

The Redmi K50S Pro might be the first smartphone to come with a 200MP camera setup. The smartphone is said to offer a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display and 256GB of onboard storage. Xiaomiui had previously claimed that the Xiaomi Redmi K50S is codenamed diting and has model number 22071212AC. Whereas, the Xiaomi Redmi K50S Pro carries codename plato.

The Redmi K50S and the Redmi K50S Pro are said to make a debut as the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro in the global markets. As of now, nothing much is known about these devices. However, we can expect to learn more about these devices in the coming weeks through certification listings before the launch.
