Redmi K60 series could launch soon in China. The company is expected to unveil its next premium Redmi series phones in its home country early next year. The Redmi K60 series could include three phones. These include the K60 5G, K60 Pro 5G and the K60 Gaming Edition. Details about the three Redmi K-series phones have leaked in the past. A new leak has now revealed more details about the vanilla Redmi K60 5G.
A leak on Weibo (via) has revealed the Redmi K60’s specifications ahead of its launch. The leak reveals that the K60 5G will feature a Snapdragon processor under the hood. Redmi K60 5G: What to Expect Under the Hood
The Redmi K60 will be the most affordable flagship in the upcoming K-series lineup. It is expected to launch in China in January 2022. The leaked details reveal that Xiaomi could use a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in the K60 5G. The existing flagship SoC from Qualcomm is also said to be featured in the K60’s competitor phones, such as the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2, which could launch as the OnePlus 11R in India and the Realme GT Neo 5 5G.
The tipster further revealed that the Redmi K60 5G will feature a 6.67-inch display with a 2K resolution. It is likely to sport a flat screen with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The phone is also said to pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood. It will support 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
The phone will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and come with up to 12GB of RAM. We can expect Redmi to launch the phone with up to 256GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the phone is said to feature a 64MP main camera sensor. It will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone will feature a 16MP front camera.

The Realme GT Neo 5 and the OnePlus Ace 2 will share most of the hardware. The tipster claimed that both phones will sport a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. There will be an optical fingerprint scanner. The phones will draw power from a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The OnePlus Ace 2 is said to launch with up to 16GB of RAM, whereas the GT Neo 5 will pack 12GB of RAM.
Both phones will feature a triple-camera setup. There will be a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth/ macro sensor. Both phones are said to come with a 16MP front camera. The devices will pack a 5000mAh battery and offer 150W fast charging support. There is no word on the launch timeline of the OnePlus Ace 2 and the Realme GT Neo 5. We can expect these devices to launch early next year in China. The phones are also likely to debut in India in the coming weeks.
