Xiaomi is all set to launch the next iteration of the Redmi K-series in its domestic market. The upcoming Redmi K60 series will make its official debut on December 27 in China. The Redmi K60 series will consist of three devices – the Redmi K60, Redmi K60E, and Redmi K60 Pro. The brand has already said that it won’t be launching a gaming-centric smartphone under the K-series this year. Ahead of the upcoming launch, Xiaomi has now revealed the processor details for all three Redmi K60 series smartphones.
Alongside, the brand has also revealed some of the key specifications of the Redmi K60 Pro via the launch teasers. Xiaomi, via the latest launch teaser, revealed that it will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processors on the upcoming Redmi K60 series smartphones. Let us take a closer look at the Redmi K60 Pro specifications and what we know about the device so far.
The Redmi K60 Pro is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Whereas, the Redmi K60 might be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The Redmi K60E could be the cheapest smartphone in the series and might be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor.

With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 under the hood, the Redmi K60 Pro will compete against the likes of the iQOO 11 and Moto X40. Whereas, the Redmi K60 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will go head to head against iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition and the OnePlus 10T.
Another teaser, shared by the brand, revealed that the Redmi K60 Pro will be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM. The company will be using LPDDR5 RAM on the upcoming K-series flagship. Also, the brand will use UFS 4.0 storage standard on the Redmi K60 Pro.
As revealed in the official teaser, the Redmi K60 Pro will feature a 5,000 square mm vapour chamber liquid cooling area. Apart from it, the brand has not revealed anything about the Redmi K60 series for now. However, the specifications of the Redmi K60 series smartphones were leaked in the past.
Based on a leak, the Redmi K60E, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60 Pro will be the successors of the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Gaming respectively. The Redmi K60 series will offer an AMOLED display with up to 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The upcoming Redmi K60 series smartphones are said to feature triple-rear cameras with a 50MP primary shooter. These smartphones might feature up to 5500mAh battery unit.
