Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship smartphone series. The company is rumoured to launch the Redmi K60 series soon in China. A recent report revealed that the K60 series could debut in China by the end of this year. Xiaomi has teased the launch of its new Redmi flagships and revealed that the upcoming series will focus on providing higher performance. Despite the higher performance claim, the phones are said to be cooler. The company has not confirmed any other details. Meanwhile, a new leak has revealed the launch date and the sale timeline of the Redmi K60 series.
YouTuber Sahil Karoul has revealed that the Redmi K60 series will debut on December 27 in China. The tipster has also revealed some key details about the upcoming Redmi flagship phones.
Redmi K60 Series Could Launch Next Week
The Redmi K60 series launch date is yet to be officially announced. Xiaomi is rumoured to launch the Redmi flagships on December 27. Karoul also revealed that the phones will go on sale from December 31 in China.
The highlights of the K60 series include its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 2K screen, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a Sony IMX800 series main camera.
Karoul did not go into the specifics of each device. Xiaomi is rumoured to launch at least three phones. The lineup will include the K60e, K60 and K60 Pro. The company is said to launch the K60 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The K60 Pro, on the other hand, is said to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the K60e will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC.
The devices are also said to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The K60’s display could remain flat, whereas the K60 Pro will have a curved panel. All three phones will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The K60 5G is also said to come with a 5500mAh battery. It will support 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The K60 Pro could feature support for 120W fast charging and 30W wireless charging. Lastly, the K60e is said to pack a 4500mAh battery and support 67W fast charging.
One of the K60 series phones is said to feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main sensor. Another device is likely to feature a 64MP triple-camera setup with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
The K60 and K60 Pro will boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box, whereas the K60e will boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
Other details of the K60 series are under wraps. Xiaomi is likely to drop more teasers soon. The K60 Pro is likely to launch in global markets as the POCO F5. It is unknown if the devices will launch in India. We can expect the K60e to launch in India as a successor to the Redmi K50i. Xiaomi India has not confirmed any details yet.
