Redmi K60 Series SoC and Model Details
According to Kacper, the company is gearing up to launch at least three devices in the Redmi K60 series 一 the vanilla K60, the K60 Pro, and the K60E. The tipster has revealed the codenames of these devices as well. The Redmi K60 is codenamed “socrates”, the K60 Pro is codenamed “mondrian”, and the K60E is codenamed “rembrandt”.
In addition to these codenames, the tipster also revealed the SoCs of the devices. The vanilla model in the K60 series is tipped to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Pro model will use Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the K60E will use a MediaTek chipset, but the exact SoC is yet to be confirmed for the same. Based on the previous leaks, it could be either Dimensity 9200 or Dimensity 8200. Apart from this info, the tipster did not share much and there is no official launch date from the company as well.
Redmi K60 5G Specifications
The vanilla Redmi K60 is expected to be the most affordable device in the upcoming K series lineup. This device will take on the likes of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2, which could launch as the OnePlus 11R in India and the Realme GT Neo 5 5G. The Redmi K60 5G will feature a 6.67-inch display with a 2K resolution. The phone is said to feature a 5,500mAh battery under the hood. It will support 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
The phone is also said to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and come with up to 12GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the phone is said to feature a 64MP main camera sensor with OIS. It will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone will feature a 16MP front camera.
