[Update] Possible Redmi K60E with Snapdragon 870 SoC, 12GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench, Expected to Launch Soon

It would not be a surprise if the K60E debuts in India as a successor to the Redmi K50i, which was launched earlier this year.

Redmi is expected to launch its new generation of K-series flagship smartphones soon. The company might launch the Redmi K60, K60 Pro and a new K60E alongside. The Redmi K60E is likely to sit at the bottom of the lineup. Xiaomi is expected to launch the devices in January 2023. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch timeline of the K60 series. Meanwhile, a Redmi K-series smartphone, possibly the Redmi K60E has been spotted on the Geekbench website.

The K60E’s listing on Geekbench reveals some possible specifications and features ahead of its launch. Xiaomi will launch the phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. Let’s take a look at the Redmi K60E specifications, features and other details known so far.

Redmi K60E Geekbench Listing  

The Redmi K60E is expected to launch soon in China and a few other markets. It would not be a surprise if the K60E debuts in India as a successor to the Redmi K50i, which was launched earlier this year. The company is yet to confirm any details about the India launch. Meanwhile, the Geekbench listing suggests that the phone will draw power from a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The chipset is fairly old and is found in several smartphones under Rs 30,000 in India. It is an octa-core SoC with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. The SoC also features an Adreno 650 GPU under the hood.

The K60E, which has the model number 22127RK46C, has been listed on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. We can expect the phone to launch with an 8GB RAM option as well. The device could debut with 128GB and 256GB storage options at least. Other than this, the listing confirms that the phone will run Android 12. Considering Android 13 has been available for quite some time, it would be nice if the device gets the latest update out of the box. It would also be interesting to see if Xiaomi launches the phone with MIUI 13 or the upcoming MIUI 14.

The listing further reveals that the Redmi K-series smartphone scored 961 and 3123 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests. Other details of the phone are currently under wraps.
