Redmi entered the smart TV segment in China first a couple of years ago and a few smart TVs were also launched in India as well. More recently, the company unveiled the Redmi TV X 2022 series smart TVs in China back in October 2021 and the Redmi Smart TV X43 was launched in India back in Feburary. Now, it looks like the company is gearing up to launch a giant 100-inch Redmi Max TV as the upcoming TV from the brand was spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification and 3C certification websites.
Redmi Max 100-inch Giant Screen TV Spotted on Bluetooth SIG Website
A new Redmi smart TV has bagged the Bluetooth SIG certification ahead of the launch. The Redmi TV with model number L100R8-MAX has been listed on the database with the design name, Redmi MAX 100-inch Giant Screen TV. This TV could be launched as the successor to the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch Max, which is a 98-inch 4K smart TV, launched back in March 2020 in India.
After about two years, it looks like the company is prepping to launch a giant screen TV. The upcoming 100-inch Redmi TV will come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity option. Apart from the model number, name, and Bluetooth version, the site doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming TV. Along with this, the TV has also cleared the 3C certification with the same model number, hinting at an imminent launch. The 3C certification also suggests the TV will come with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Since the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch, Max smart TV was launched only in China, we can also expect the 100-inch Redmi smart TV to launch in China first. As for the features, we can expect some improvements in both the visual and audio departments of the Redmi Max 100-inch Giant Screen TV.
The Redmi Smart TV 98-inch Max was launched with a 4K display with 85 per cent NTSC colour gamut and 192 dynamic backlight zones. It was powered by a custom 12nm chipset and was packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage.
