Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India a few weeks back. These devices are already on sale in India. Now, it’s being reported that both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max smartphones have started receiving a new software update. These devices are reportedly getting the MIUI 12.0.6.0 software update, which promises improved camera performance. The latest software update also boosts the overall app stability. Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Gets New Software Update

With this new software release, both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max now runs MIUI v12.0.6.0.RKFINXM. This latest software update is of 278MB in size. If we have a look at the changelog details, we can notice that the MIUI 12.0.6.0 update for the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max improves the Camera app’s performance. The new software release even promises to boost the overall app stability. The update is currently rolling out in a phased manner and it may take some time for a wider rollout when Xiaomi makes sure that there are no critical bugs with this release.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max still runs on February 2021 Android security patch, and there’s no latest Android security patch being rolled out with this software build.

To recap with the specs of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, both of them sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, these handsets are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. They pack up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and have 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Redmi Note 10 Pro features a 64MP primary camera, whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 108MP camera.

Both these handsets run Android 11 out of the box. They pack a 5020 mAh battery that has 33W fast charging support. Connectivity-wise, these devices offer 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
