Xiaomi launched a new Redmi Note series smartphone – Redmi Note 10S last week in India. The Redmi Note 10S is the fourth smartphone to launch under the Note 10 series in the country. The smartphone comes with a gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G95, and sits between the Note 10, and Note 10 Pro in terms of pricing. Redmi Note 10S: Specifications, and Features
The Redmi Note 10S features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 1080×2400 pixel resolution, and 409PPI pixel density. The display comes with a 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 1100 nits brightness. The display on the Note 10S features Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and has a punch-hole cutout.
Under the hood, the phone sports an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, built on a 12nm fabrication process. The graphics duties on the device are handled by an integrated Mali-G76 GPU. The smartphone gets 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS2.2 storage. The Redmi Note 10S is the first Xiaomi device to launch with MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11, in the country.
The Redmi Note 10S offers a quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The primary sensor on the device is a 64MP sensor that gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 118° field-of-view, and f/2.2 aperture. The other two lenses on the rear camera setup are a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Redmi Note 10S offers a 13MP front shooter with f/2.45 aperture for selfies, and video calls.
The Note 10S packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, an IR Blaster, and a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res audio certification. The Redmi Note 10S also has IP53-certification that makes it splash resistance. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/AGPS, and GLONASS.
