Redmi Note 11 Series Might Launch Globally in Q1 2022; Some Markets May Get Snapdragon SoC

The Redmi Note 11 series was launched towards the end of October in China and the new-gen budget phones from Redmi are expected to launch in India with a different name. The Redmi Note 11 is expected to launch in India as Redmi Note 11T 5G, the Redmi Note 11 Pro is expected to launch as Xiaomi 11i and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is said to launch as Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. According to a new report, the Redmi Note 11 series will be launched globally in Q1 2022 which means the India launch might happen around March just like the Redmi Note 10 series.

According to a report from Thepixel, the Redmi Note 11 series will arrive in the Vietnam market in Q1 2022 as well. Interestingly, the report says the Note 11 series will have a different design and specifications for the Vietnam market. More specifically, the devices are expected to pack in Snapdragon chipsets instead of the MediaTek Dimensity series SoC. However, it is still unclear whether the Snapdragon chipset will be exclusive to the Vietnam market. Redmi_Note_11-1

As per the previous leaks, apart from the change in moniker, the specifications of the Redmi Note 11 series were expected to be the same as the Chinese variant for India. It’ll be interesting to see how Xiaomi India will play with the phone names this time around. Recently, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was launched globally recently as a rebranded Redmi Note 11 5G.

The Redmi Note 11 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and the Redmi Note 11 Pro and 11 Pro Plus are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus offers 120W fast charging and also features a 108MP camera setup. The Redmi Note 11 Pro on the other hand is backed by a 67W fast charging and a 108MP main camera setup.
