Xiaomi appears to be prepping up for the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G variant soon in the global market. The device was spotted earlier at an IMEI database listing a couple of days back. Now, in a recent development, the Redmi Note 12 4G has gained couple of certifications. The smartphone has received the NBTC, TDRA, FCC, and IMDA certifications today. The newly received certification reveals the model number of the device as well as confirms the Redmi Note 12 4G moniker.
Redmi Note 12 4G Moniker Confirmed Ahead Of Launch
As per the FCC certification, the Redmi Note 12 4G bears the model number as 23021RAAEG. Furthermore, the FCC listing also reveals that the device will launch with MIUI 14 out of the box. On the other hand, the TDRA certification confirms the moniker as Redmi Note 12. Other than the model number, moniker, and software version information, the rest of the certification doesn’t disclose any details of the handset as of now. Additionally, the specifications of the Redmi Note 12 4G remains under wrap. Past rumours however suggest that the Redmi Note 12 4G could be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Now, that the phone has received the FCC, TDRA, and IMDA certifications, we can expect its launch in the global market in the coming few days.
To recall, Xiaomi had introduced the Redmi Note 12 5G in India at the beginning of this month. The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 1200 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 5G model is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, which is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128B of internal storage. The handset runs Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 skin on top.
The phone features a triple-camera setup, which consists of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Furthermore, the device features a 13MP front camera, and it also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery which offers 33W fast charging support. The other key features which the Redmi Note 12 5G offer include is a 3.5mm audio jack, IP53 rating, 5G, dual-SIM card support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac), Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
