Redmi, earlier this year, launched three mid-range Note 12 series smartphones in India. The company launched the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. All three Redmi Note series phones received a major price bump in India compared to their respective predecessors. The Note 12 5G is currently the most affordable offering in the lineup and has a starting price of Rs 17,999. Xiaomi might launch an even more affordable option in the form of the Redmi Note 12 4G.

The company has not confirmed any details about the phone at the moment. However, the launch of the upcoming Note 12 series phone seems imminent as the Note 12 4G has been spotted on the Geekbench website. Redmi Note 12 4G: Key Specifications Out

The Redmi Note 12 4G could be a new mid-range offering in India. Xiaomi is expected to launch the new Note series phone soon in India. Ahead of the launch, the Note 12 4G has been spotted on the Geekbench website. The listing on Geekbench confirms some key details about the upcoming Redmi smartphone, which has the model number 23028RA60L. As per the listing, the Note 12 4G will get an octa-core Snapdragon processor. The 91Mobiles report, which shares the Geekbench listing details, suggests that the phone could get an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 680 found in the Redmi Note 11 4G.

The Note 12 4G’s Snapdragon 680 variant has a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz. The SoC also includes an Adreno 610 GPU. The variant of the phone listed on Geekbench has 4GB of RAM. We can expect it to launch with at least 64GB of internal storage.

As per the listing, the Note 12 4G scored 422 points in the single-core Geekbench test. In the multi-core test, the device scored 1252 points. The listing also confirms that the phone runs Android 13 out of the box. It is likely to have a layer of MIUI 14 on top of Android.

Some other details about the phone have leaked in the past. The Note 12 4G is said to have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen is likely to refresh at a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera sensor. There will be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth/ macro sensor. The phone will feature a 13MP front camera sensor.

In terms of battery, the phone is said to feature a 5000mAh cell with support for 33W fast charging. The device is also said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IR Blaster at the top.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm the official launch details of the Note 12 4G. However, going by the number of leaks reported online, the budget smartphone from Redmi could launch soon in India and other markets. We will share more details about the same as and when available.
