Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi Note 12 series phone. The company launched the Redmi Note 12 series globally, which comprises four models. The Note 12, Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. Except for the Note 12 4G, all other Note 12 series phones launched today globally are available in India. The most affordable Note 12 4G is also set to make its debut in India on March 30. Ahead of the official launch in India, the Redmi Note 12 4G has made its global debut in Europe.

Redmi Note 12 4G Price and Specifications 

The Redmi Note 12 4G is the most affordable phone in the lineup currently. The device is confirmed to launch in India on March 30. The Note 12 4G global variant has been launched with two storage options. The base model has 4GB of RAM AND 64GB of storage. It is priced at EUR 229.9 (roughly Rs 20,600). However, as part of early bird pricing, the phone can be bought for EUR 199.9 (roughly Rs 17,900). 

There is also a 128GB storage option with 4GB of RAM, which is priced at EUR 249.9 (roughly Rs 22,300). The phone has been launched in three colours — Ice Blue, Onyx Grey and Mint Green.

In terms of hardware, the Note 12 4G sports a tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. There is support for a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device’s 8-bit display has support for DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and claims to offer 1200 nits of peak brightness.

There is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The screen has fairly narrow bezels around it, except for the thicker chin. The cutout at the top houses a 13MP front camera sensor. There is also a triple-camera setup on the back. The camera module design is similar to the rest of the Note 12 series phones. Obviously, the sensors are different compared to the more premium siblings. There is a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The phone also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

The Note 12 4G gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz. The 6nm SoC also features an Adreno 610 GPU. In terms of storage, there is up to 128GB on offer. Users can expand the memory using a microSD card up to 1TB. 

The phone packs a beefy 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging out of the box. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a graphite cooling system, a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, etc. The phone has an IP53 rating for basic protection against water and dust. It boots Android 13 out of the box and has MIUI 14 on top.
