The Redmi Note 12 Pro series is launching on January 5 in the Indian market. The Redmi Note 12 Pro series will consist of two smartphones – the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The Note 12 Pro series smartphones will be sold exclusively via Flipkart. Now, the brand has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Note 12 5G alongside the Pro models. This will be the first vanilla Redmi Note model to feature 5G connectivity.
Ahead of the launch, a micro-site has gone live on Amazon and Mi Online Store which reveals some of the key specifications of the Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant. Based on the specifications revealed through the micro-site, it appears that the Note 12 5G Indian variant will be the same as the Note 12 5G Chinese variant. Let us take a closer look at the Redmi Note 12 5G specifications.

The micro-site on Amazon reveals that the upcoming Note series smartphone will offer an AMOLED display with a centered punch-hole notch. The micro-site does not reveal if the device will feature a high refresh rate display. Further, the listing reveals the presence of a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash on the back.
The Amazon micro-site also confirms that the Note 12 5G India variant will feature a 48MP camera setup, similar to its Chinese counterparts. The listing also reveals the support for 33W fast charging. This means that in terms of charging capabilities, the Note 12 5G will be the same as that of last year’s Note 11. Xiaomi is also claiming that the Note 12 5G will be the slimmest Redmi Note launched to date.
Furthermore, the micro-site reveals that the Note 12 5G Indian variant will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. We can expect it to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, similar to its Chinese counterpart. To those unaware, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is fabbed on a 6nm process and brings with it an integrated Adreno GPU. This is the same processor that powers iQOO Z6 Lite.
The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 12 5G will sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as can be seen in the official renders showcased on the micro-site. The official renders also reveal that the Note 12 5G will come in a blue colour option. To those unaware, the Redmi Note 12 5G retails in black, white, and blue colour options in China.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is priced at RMB 1199 (approx Rs 13,500) for the 4GB + 128GB configuration in China. So, we can expect the same variant Redmi Note 12 5G to carry a price of around Rs 14,000 in the Indian market. Also, we can expect the company to launch the Redmi Note 12 5G in 4GB + 64GB configuration as well in India.
