Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 12 5G series in the Indian market. The company will introduce the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G on January 5 in the country. This time, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series will contain only 5G-enabled smartphones. The Redmi Note 12 5G will be sold exclusively via Amazon. Whereas, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G series smartphones will be available for purchase through Flipkart.
Ahead of the launch, the brand, via the Amazon micro-site, has now confirmed that Redmi Note 12 5G will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. The latest teaser once again hints that the Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant will be the same as its Chinese counterpart. Let us take a look at the Redmi Note 12 5G specifications and features.
Redmi Note 12 5G: Specifications and Features
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is manufactured on a 6nm processor and brings with it 2 × Cortex A78 cores, clocked at 2.0 GHz. This is the same processor that powers the iQOO Z6 Lite.
Xiaomi India had already confirmed some of the key specifications of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 5G. As revealed through the Amazon micro-site, the Note 12 5G will sport an AMOLED display with a centered punch hole notch. The teasers do not reveal the resolution and the refresh rate of the display. However, based on the existing Redmi Note series smartphones, we can expect the Redmi Note 12 5G to feature a high refresh rate display with a Full HD+ resolution.
Also, the upcoming Note series smartphone is confirmed to feature a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary shooter on the device will include a 48MP sensor. The Chinese variant of Note 12 5G features a 48MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. This suggests that the Note 12 5G Indian variant might bring improvements over its Chinese counterpart, at least in terms of cameras.
The Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant, similar to its Chinese counterpart, is confirmed to feature 33W fast charging support. The brand has also confirmed that the upcoming Note 12 5G Indian variant will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The upcoming Redmi Note series smartphone is also confirmed to retail in a Blue colour option in India. To learn more about the Redmi Note 12 5G Chinese variant, you can head over to this post.
