Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+ Spotted on TENAA with 6.6-inch Display, Launch Imminent

Xiaomi’s all-time popular Redmi Note series is due for an upgrade. The smartphone lineup refreshes every six months in time. The Redmi Note 11 series debuted in October last year, and now it’s time for its successor, the Redmi Note 12 series to take charge. The Note 12 series is said to comprise three smartphones – the vanilla Note 12, the Note 12 Pro and the Note 12 Pro+.

Two new smartphones, suspected to be from the forthcoming Note 12 series, have been discovered on a TENAA listing, and some key specifications have been revealed. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series and everything we know so far.

Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+ May Soon Launch in China

Going by Xiaomi’s timeline, the Note series that releases in the first half of the year will be focused on performance products, while the phones in the second half will be equipped with balanced configurations.


The TENAA listing reveals two smartphones, bearing the model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C. The Redmi Note 12 Pro is believed to be the one 22041216C, while 22041216UC could be the Note 12 Pro+.

The Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, according to the TENAA listing pack in a 4980mAh and 4300mAh battery respectively. Both the smartphones carry a 6.6-inch display, measure 8.8mm in thickness and run Android 12. The Note 12 Pro can be spotted in two RAM + storage configurations – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.

The TENAA listing, however, does not reveal the design nor the other components of the smartphone. We expect to learn more information regarding these smartphones as time passes.

These smartphones previously gained Network Access licenses and are believed to launch in May 2022. Rumour mill has it that, The forthcoming Redmi Note 12 series will be powered by a high-performance MediaTek processor rather than one from Qualcomm. It’s possible that Xiaomi ends up using the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processors on the Redmi Note 12 series.

The Redmi Note 12 series, according to DCS, will have a distinctive industrial style, strong performance, and extended battery life.
