Xiaomi has introduced as many as five smartphones in the Note 12 series lineup already. The Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G are already here in India. Then there is the Note 12 4G, which was launched earlier this week in Europe and is set to launch in India on March 30. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has been launched in India as the Poco X5 Pro 5G. Xiaomi is also confirmed to launch the Redmi Note 12 Turbo in China on March 28. Joining the list of phones soon are two more Redmi devices. The Redmi Note 12S and Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G are expected to launch soon.

Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about the launch of the last two Note series phones mentioned above. The Note 12S and Note 12 Pro 4G, however, have been a part of the rumour mill’s churn regularly. Now, a new development has revealed the design renders of the two upcoming Redmi Note 12 series phones ahead of their debut.

Redmi Note 12S, Note 12 Pro 4G to Feature 108MP Camera

The Redmi Note 12S and Note 12 Pro 4G could be the next mid-range smartphone offering from the brand launching later this year in various markets. Ahead of the launch, a new Xiaomi UI report has uploaded the design renders of the upcoming Redmi phone. The leaked renders show that the phone might look a lot different than the rest of the lineup.

While the Note 12S continues to sport a flat frame design with curved corners, the camera module design is quite different. There is a squarish camera block, which houses three sensors and an LED flash. There is one larger circular cutout and two tinier ones. The text on the camera module confirms that the Note 12S has a 108MP main camera sensor. Xiaomi UI says there is no 2MP depth sensor so we can assume the other two camera sensors to offer ultra-wide and macro lenses.

The rear panel, too, is curved towards the edges. On the right edge, you get the power and volume buttons.  The left edge has the SIM tray.

On the front, the Note 12S has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the display. The bezels around the screen are fairly narrow, except for the thick chin.

The Note 12S will launch in three colours — Green, Black and Blue. It will support 67W fast charging as well and run Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

Moving on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, the phone has a smaller camera module design in comparison. There is a rectangular module that houses five cutouts for the camera sensors and an LED flash. The phone will feature a 108MP main camera sensor. It seems that the Note 12 Pro 4G will be the only phone in the lineup to feature a quad-camera setup. These could be the 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone has a flat frame and rear panel. It will launch in four colours — Blue, Black, Starry Blue and White. It continues to house a hole-punch cutout at the top of the display, which has fairly thin bezels around it.
