Xiaomi is going to launch the Redmi Note 7 in India soon, and the brand has already started creating hype around it. The latest tweet from Xiaomi shows a video of the Redmi Note 7 outperforming another device with an M badge in AnTuTu score. Xiaomi has not mentioned the name of the device, but we all know that the brand is talking about the newly-launched Galaxy M20.

The video in the tweet shows that the Redmi Note 7 scores 143,000 points, while the Galaxy M20 scores 123,000 points in AnTuTu. The Samsung Galaxy M20 packs the new Exynos 7904 SoC, while the Redmi Note 7 packs the Snapdragon 660. Let us have a look at what these chipsets offer.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Vs. Galaxy M20 Performance
AnTuTu takes into consideration CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage performance to calculate the final score. Now that the Redmi Note 7 has scored higher than the Galaxy M20, it could be because of higher CPU performance, higher GPU performance, higher RAM speed, higher storage speed, or all of these factors combined.
However, in my opinion, the Redmi Note 7 has achieved a higher score because the Snapdragon 660 SoC packs two more high-performance CPU cores than the Exynos 7904 in the Galaxy M20, and also because the Snapdragon 660 has a more powerful GPU than that in the Exynos 7904. Here is a quick comparison table of both processors.

When Will the Redmi Note 7 Launch in India? How Much Will It Cost?
Xiaomi has still not revealed the launch date of the Redmi Note 7. However, looking at how actively Xiaomi is teasing the device, I think the Redmi Note 7 will launch in early March. As for the price, I think the Redmi Note 7 will start at INR 14,999, and it could go up to INR 17,999 for the top-end variant. These prices are based on what the Redmi Note 7 costs in China.
Should You Wait for the Redmi Note 7?
Yes, you should definitely wait for the Redmi Note 7. Why? Because I think with the expected starting price of INR 14,999, the Redmi Note 7 will beat every other smartphone in the price range. Hell, I wouldn’t hesitate to say that Redmi Note 7 could even beat smartphones up to INR 20,000 price tag.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7’s 48MP Camera is its Headline Feature
There are not many smartphones in the market that have a 48MP camera sensor, and the ones that have come in the high-end price category. The Redmi Note 7, in spite of being a budget smartphone, packs a 48MP camera. According to Xiaomi, the 48MP sensor combines four pixels into one to produce a 12MP final image. According to Xiaomi, combing pixels offers a better image quality, especially in lowlight conditions. However, you can also choose an option to capture native 48MP images. Looking at the camera samples, and early reviews, the 48MP camera of the Redmi Note 7 looks promising. Well, we can only tell you for sure once we review the device. So, stay tuned, and let us know in the comments below what you think about the Redmi Note 7.
