Xiaomi is rolling out a new OTA update to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. This update comes bearing the build number MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM and the size of this OTA update is 324MB.

The update is being rolled out globally, meaning that the Redmi Note 7 Pro users across all countries, including India, will get this software update. According to multiple reports, the update is being rolled out in a phased manner, meaning that Xiaomi will roll out the update only to a few users now, and if there are no major issues with the update, the brand will then roll it out to the remaining users. However, users who do not want to wait for the phased OTA update, can download the software update from Xiaomi’s MIUI forum, and update their device manually.

If your Redmi Note 7 Pro hasn’t received the OTA software update yet, just go the device settings, and check for the update manually. You should most probably get it.

What Does the Update Bring?

According to the announcement Xiaomi made on MIUI India forum, this new update brings with it improvements in the rear camera performance, system bug fixes, system optimizations, and Android Security Patch for March 2019. Below is the changelog that Xiaomi has posted on MIUI India forum.

Although Xiaomi has mentioned on its forum that the update brings improvements in the rear camera performance, there is no mention of it in the changelog of the OTA update that we have received on our Redmi Note 7 Pro. Maybe Xiaomi forgot to mention it in the OTA changelog. Here is the screenshot of the OTA update that we have received.

Xiaomi Continues to Improve Its Already Excellent Phone

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro already offers the best camera performance in its price segment. Moreover, the camera performance of the Redmi Note 7 Pro even is better than most smartphones that are twice its price. Now with this new software update, the device will hopefully have an even better camera performance. There was no need for Xiaomi to offer a software update with improved camera performance, but the brand still did. This shows that Xiaomi is working hard to win the hearts of its customers. And this will definitely help the brand in the long run.
