As mentioned above, the MIUI Global Stable ROM V10.3.5.0.PFHINXM is being rolled out to Redmi Note 7 Pro users in India. In case you do not wish to wait for the over-the-air update to become available for your device, you can download the latest stable build for the Redmi Note 7 Pro manually and install it using the fastboot or Recovery methods. However, in case you decide to manually flash the update on your Redmi Note 7 Pro, you should ensure that you have a backup of your data before proceeding to the installation process.

In terms of features, the latest MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM only brings new AI camera modes. On the security front, you get the April 2019 Android security patch for increased system security. Another small change that Redmi has introduced with this update is the ability to open the Home screen using your fingerprint once your face data has been verified. It is also now possible to restrict opening Notification shade on the Lock screen. Some of the bugs that have been fixed with this update include camera force closing when the app is closed and opened again in Video mode, call-time bubble overlapping with notification icons, no low battery warning in landscape mode, and ending calls taking longer than expected.

How to Manually Flash the MIUI Global Stable ROM V10.3.5.0.PFHINXM Update

If you wish to manually flash the latest update on your Redmi Note 7 Pro, you can do so using either the Fastboot or Recovery method. To install the update using the Recovery method, download the recovery package from here and save it in the internal storage. Next, open the Updater app on your phone and tap on the menu on the top right corner to select the ‘Choose Update Package’ option. Choose the downloaded ZIP file and tap OK. Once the update has finished installing, your device will reboot automatically.

The fastboot method requires the smartphone’s bootloader to be unlocked. If you have unlocked the bootloader of your Redmi Note 7 Pro, you can download the Fastboot ROM from here. Now enter Fastboot mode by switching off your phone and then pressing and holding the volume down and power buttons simultaneously. Download and install the Mi Flash Tool on your PC and connect your device to the PC. Once connected, open the Mi Flash tool and click on ‘Clean all’. Next, click on select and browser to the folder where you saved the downloaded Fastboot ROM and click on Flash. The flashing process should take around 5 minutes to complete. Once the flashing is completed, your device will reboot.
