On Friday, the vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, Lu Weibing has announced on Weibo that the brand will be launching the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China next week. This announcement on Weibo is escorted by an image, which not only shows the Redmi Note 7 Pro from all angles but also reveals that it will have a 48MP Sony IMX 586 camera sensor. Replying to comment on the post, Lu Weibing has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be priced around 2000 Yuan (INR 21,153 approximately).
The Redmi Note 7 Pro will be a more advanced and more feature-packed variant of the Redmi Note 7, which was launched in China a month ago for a starting price of 999 Yuan (INR 10,500 approximately). So, in comparison, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will cost almost two times more than the Redmi Note 7. Speaking of the Redmi Note 7, it is scheduled to launch in India on 28th February at an event in Delhi. The Redmi Note 7 is expected to come with a starting price of INR 15,999.
Currently, there isn’t much we know about the Redmi Note 7 Pro, as neither the brand has revealed any specifications, nor there have been any significant leaks. That being said, there are quite some rumors flying around regarding the specs of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Let us have a look at them.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Leaked, Rumored, and Expected Specifications
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi has revealed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will have a 48MP Sony IMX 586 camera sensor. From the images that Xiaomi has revealed, we can see that the smartphone has a dual-camera setup on the back and a screen with a tear-drop notch. Interestingly, there is no visible fingerprint scanner. This almost certainly means that the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. A teaser image of the Redmi Note 7 Pro that was released earlier also hints towards the same. What we can also confirm from the official picture is that there will be at least two color options to choose from. One will have a red color gradient finish, and the other will have a blue color gradient finish.
Rumor is the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. The Snapdragon 675 is more powerful than the Snapdragon 660 that is in the Redmi Note 7. In my opinion, it is entirely possible for the Redmi Note 7 Pro to feature the Snapdragon 675 SoC, especially when you consider that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will cost almost two times more than its sibling. That is all we know so far. In my opinion, apart from the upgraded processor, upgraded camera sensor, and in-display fingerprint scanner, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will share all its components with its sibling, the Redmi Note 7.
