Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 Update Based on Android 10 Rolling Out in India, Here’s the Full Changelog, New Features

Redmi Note 8 users have finally started receiving Android 10 based MIUI 12 update in India.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 along with Redmi Note 8 Pro in India almost a year ago. Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 8 has been pending for a long time. Redmi Note 8 global units started receiving MIUI 12, based on Android 10 a couple of weeks back. Yes, you read it right! We are reporting about Redmi Note 8 Android 10 update, a couple of months after Android 11 stable has been rolled out for Pixel devices. Nonetheless, better late than never. Redmi Note 8 users in India are finally receiving MIUI 12 stable update, based on Android 10. Redmi Note 8 MIUI 12 stable update carries version 12.0.1.0.QCOINXM, and also brings an updated October Android patch.

MIUI 12 brings several new features and changes along with improvements. It brings a host of security and privacy enhancements including Hidden Mask Mode, Interceptor, and Flare modes. Xiaomi has also introduced all-new animations across the interface in MIUI 12. The latest version of MIUI also offers a new control center and a multitasking feature – the floating window. Apart from these, the company has worked upon the dark mode and it is now introducing an all-new dark mode 2.0 with the MIUI 12. The roll-out is in the stable beta phase so the update may or may not be available on your device yet. To those unaware, stable beta roll-out is a phase before a wider stable roll-out. Xiaomi follows this convention to minimize the impact of critical bugs.
