The Redmi Note 9 has already been launched in many countries across the globe so far. However, the phone has not made it to one of the most important markets for the brand, India. Well, we now have some exclusive information regarding the launch of Redmi Note 9 in the Indian market.

Redmi Note 9 India launch date

According to our sources in the industry, the Redmi Note 9 will launch in the Indian market in the third week of July, most probably on the 20th of this month. That’s just 12 days from now. Although, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt as we don’t have concrete information at the moment.

The Redmi Note 9, as you might know, is a successor to the Redmi Note 8. So, expect the Redmi Note 9 to have a similar price tag as that of its predecessor (around INR 10,000). For those who are in the market to get the Redmi Note 8 or a similar-priced smartphone, it would be better to hold off the purchase at the moment as they might be able to get their hands on a better smartphone with the launch of the Redmi Note 9.

Redmi Note 9 specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution, 450 nits brightness, center punch-hole, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The device runs on the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and the Android 10 OS with MIUI 11. The phone is available in 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variants, in the markets that it is on sale. Expect India to get the same memory configurations.

The rear camera setup of the Redmi Note 9 has four cameras, a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The primary camera, surprisingly, misses out on 4K video recording. The selfie camera has a 13MP resolution.

The Redmi Note 9 packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The phone has dual-SIM 4G support, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and USB Type-C port.
