Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in the country back in March. At the launch, the company introduced three color variants of these devices, and now, Xiaomi is introducing an all-new Champagne Gold color variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The new color variants of both the devices will be available on all official platforms starting tomorrow. To recall, Xiaomi hasn’t launched the Gold variant of a Redmi Note series device since 2018, the Redmi Note 5 Pro was the last Redmi Note device to retail in Gold variant.
Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Prices in India
With this new color variant launched, Redmi Note 9 Pro series devices will now be available in 4 color variants, Glacier White, Aurora Blue, Intersteller Black, and Champagne Gold.
Redmi Note 9 Pro is available in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant which is priced at Rs 13,999, the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 15,999, while the top-end 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 16,999. It’s elder sibling, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is available in 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant which is priced at Rs 16,999, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 18,499, while the top-end 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 19,999. These devices are now available in open sale and can be purchased anytime without waiting for the flash sale.
Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Specifications and Features
Redmi Note 9 Pro series devices pack a 6.67-inch FHD+ panel with 2400 × 1080 resolution and 450nits brightness, that is covered under Covered Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a punch-hole in the center that houses the selfie shooter. Both these devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G built on 8nm process. The graphics duties are handled by Adreno 618 GPU which is clocked at 750MHz. These devices feature LPDDR4X RAM coupled with up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage along with a dedicated Micro-SD card slot.
Redmi Note 9 Pro features a 48MP quad-rear camera setup with Samsung ISOCELL GM2 primary sensor that has f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with FOV 119° and f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. While it’s bigger sibling packs a superior 64MP quad-rear camera setup with Samsung ISOCELL primary sensor that has f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with FOV 119° and f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
On the selfie side, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max packs a 32MP shooter, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro packs a 16MP lens. Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max both pack a 5020mAh battery with 18W and 33W charging support respectively and can be charged with the Type-C port. These devices weigh around 209grams and have a 3.5mm jack, and an IR Blaster as well. Both the devices run Android 10 based MIUI 11 for now, but these devices are expected to receive MIUI 12 update this month. What do you think about this new color variant?
