Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Spotted in Amazon Listings Ahead of India Launch

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi will launch its brand new Redmi Note 9 series of smartphones today. So far, we have received intel about three smartphones in the lineup – the vanilla Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. While the Redmi Note 9 might take some more time to see the commercial shelves, the remaining two devices are tipped to launch today. That being said, the brand itself has so far refrained from giving any name to the Redmi Note 9 series smartphones. As a matter of fact, it has not even clarified as to whether or not the upcoming ‘Redmi Note’ smartphone(s) will belong to the Redmi Note 9 series. Finally, we have concrete evidence (other than the previous assumption derived from the Twitter hashtag) that Xiaomi could very well launch the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphones today. Both devices have been spotted on Amazon listings ahead of the official launch, thereby confirming the monikers. Take a look.

Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Moniker Confirmed Ahead of Launch

The Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max monikers were invariably confirmed when we searched both the devices on the Amazon India website. It appears that the advertisement for both devices was mistakenly uploaded ahead of the launch (as it has since been taken down). Though it has been taken down, we were able to capture a couple of screenshots of the search result, which we have uploaded above. Clearly, the monikers are confirmed and we can safely expect that the brand will unveil both Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max today. That said, since this is not official, we would still request our readers to wait for an official confirmation of the same.

As far as the specifications are concerned, little is known about the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max device, but we have some key details surrounding the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Interestingly enough, a Vietnamese YouTuber posted a video, which consisted of a bunch of real-looking shots of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. If the video is to be believed, the Redmi Note 9 Pro will come with a single punch-hole selfie camera. The front camera of the device will be centrally-aligned and, if rumours surrounding the specifications of the device are indeed correct, the front camera will be a 16MP unit. At the back, the Redmi Note 9 Pro will allegedly feature a square-shaped array of four cameras, with a 48MP primary lens.

Coming to the display of the device, the Redmi Note 9 is tipped to flaunt a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel. The top bezel of the device will feature a speaker. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, which will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Moving on to the battery of the device, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is tipped to feature a 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging. On the software side of things, the Redmi Note 9 Pro could most likely come shipped with the  latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house MIUI 11 on top of it.
