The company has now officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 series will launch globally on April 30, 2020. Redmi Note 9 Series to Launch Globally on April 30

Xiaomi recently posted a tweet on its official handle, which has confirmed the global launch date of the Redmi Note 9 series – April 30, 2020 (GMT+8). The event will be online and will be streamed on the company’s various social media platforms. Below is the tweet for your reference:

As mentioned earlier, the tweet does not contain any intel surrounding the devices which will launch on the said day, but we can expect the Redmi Note 9 vanilla edition to make its global debut. So far, we don’t know much about the device, but if it is indeed a rebranded variant of the Redmi 10X, we know pretty much everything about it.

The Redmi 10X will feature a quadruple rear camera setup, which will include a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a couple of 2MP sensors. At the front, the Redmi 10X will boast a 13MP selfie snapper. Under the hood, the Redmi 10X will be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We can expect the device to launch in more memory variants too.

As seen in the picture, the Redmi 10X will feature a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which will be located in the top left corner of the device’s display. The power button and the volume up and down buttons will be on the right side of the device, while the SIM tray will be on the left side. At the back, the device will feature a similar camera module like the one found on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone. But unlike those two, the Redmi 10X will feature a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner. To learn more about the Redmi 10X, you can head to our previous coverage for the same.
