Xiaomi‘s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 in India back in July. The smartphone was made available in Aqua Green, Arctic White, Pebble Grey, and Scarlet Red color variants. Now, Redmi is introducing a new ‘Shadow Black’ color variant of the Redmi Note 9 for prospective buyers. Redmi India took it to Twitter to announce the launch of the new color variant. To recall, Redmi Note 9 packs a large FHD+ display, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery. Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with 2340×1080 resolution, 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and 450nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Redmi Note 9 sports a gaming-centric octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 under-the-hood, which built on a 12nm process. The graphics duties on Note 9 are handled by Mali-G52 GPU which is clocked at 1000MHz. It comes coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage. Though, the storage can be further expanded with the help of a dedicated micro-SD card slot. Coming to the optics, Redmi Note 9 packs a 48MP quad-rear camera set up inside a squircle camera island. The primary sensor on Note 9 gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 118° field of view. The other two sensors on the smartphone are 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. For the selfies, Redmi Note 9 offers a 13MP shooter that is housed inside a punch-hole notch.
