Xiaomi might soon confirm the Redmi Pad 2 launch date in China. The device’s key specifications and features have leaked ahead of the launch. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi might launch its new Redmi tablet with a 2K resolution display. While the exact screen size is unknown, Digital Chat Station claims that the Redmi tablet will have a 10 to 11-inch display. A recent leak revealed that the tablet might sport a 10.95-inch display. In comparison, the Redmi Pad was launched with a 10.6-inch display. The device is likely to feature an IPS LCD with 90Hz refresh rate support as well.
On the back, the Redmi Pad 2 will feature a single camera sensor. Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the budget Android tablet will feature an 8MP primary camera sensor on the back. For selfies and video calls, the Redmi Pad 2 will feature a 5MP front camera.
Under the hood, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. The device is also said to pack an 8,000mAh battery. The tipster did not reveal the fast charging details of the Redmi Pad successor.
We can expect Xiaomi to launch the device with 6GB of RAM at least. The tablet might also offer up to 128GB of internal storage, with an option to expand the memory via a microSD card slot. It is also likely to boot on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.
