The Redmi Watch 2 will be unveiled this week in China along with the Redmi Note 11 series. However, it looks like Redmi is also gearing up to launch yet another wearable outside of China, in the European market on the same day. The Redmi Smart Band Pro fitness tracker is tipped to launch in Europe on October 28. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features of the Redmi Smart Band Pro.
The Redmi Smart Band Pro will likely be the successor to the Redmi Smart Band which was launched in India back in September 2020. The new smart band will rival the Huawei Watch Fit which is currently available in the European market. Like the previous Redmi fitness tracker, the Smart Band Pro is also expected to be an affordable wearable, but there is no word on the pricing yet.
Redmi Smart Band Pro Specs and Features
According to the marketing renders obtained by tipster Roland Quandt, the Redmi Smart Band Pro will come with a larger display that looks more like Xiaomi Mi Band 6. For context, the Redmi Smart Band comes with a 1.08-inch screen. The software and interface also look similar to the Mi Band 6, as per the report. The device will feature a flat display with and visually, the device looks like the Honor Band 6 as well.
Like with most wearables, the straps on the Band Pro will be interchangeable with other straps. For charging, the fitness tracker will feature a proprietary magnetic charging cable with a USB Type-A port on the end. The fitness tracker has a black silicone strap in the renders with a single pin to lock it to the wrist. On the back of the, we can see the heart rate monitor along with Redmi branding as well.
Since the Redmi Smart Band was launched with features like touch screen display, multiple fitness tracking modes, 5ATM water-resistant, music control, etc, we can expect the same to feature on the Pro along with some new additions.
