Yesterday, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone in China. That, however, was not the only product that was launched at the event. The brand also unveiled its brand new smart TV, dubbed the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX. It doesn’t require an expert to deduce from the name that the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX has a massive 98-inch display. The company advertised the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX display to be, well, 13.6 percent larger than a standard single mattress. The size of the display is not the only thing the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX is good at. Take a look at the price, specifications, and features of the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX smart TV.

The Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX will set you back a whopping CNY 19,999 (somewhere around Rs 215,600). The smart TV will go on its first sale from April 6, 2020, 10am local time and interested buyers will be able to get their hands on this massive screen via Xiaomi mall and the offline Xiaomi Home stores.

Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX: Specifications and Features

The Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX flaunts a 98-inch 4K display with 85 percent NTSC, 192 dynamic backlight zones, and a wide color gamut. Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX comes with MEMC motion compensation.

Under the hood, the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX is powered by a custom 12nm chipset, which is assisted by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. On the software side of things, the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX comes packed with Xiao AI 3.0 built-in. It also has an intelligent home control centre.

So far, the company has not announced whether or not the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch MAX will be globally available, so we cannot really say for sure as to whether or not this massive smart TV will launch in the remaining parts of the globe.

As far as the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone is concerned, the device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The device comes with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the Redmi K30 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform, which is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. For photography enthusiasts out there, the Redmi K30 Pro offers a quadruple rear camera setup, including a 64MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP telephoto macro camera.

The company has also launched a zoom edition of the Redmi K30 Pro, which comes with a secondary 8MP telephoto lens and it has support for up to 30X digital zoom. Speaking of front cameras, both Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition feature a 20MP pop-up selfie snapper. In the software department, the Redmi K30 Pro ships the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house MIUI 11 skin baked on top of it.
