Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to launch a new Smart TV in India. The company has teased the launch of the new Smart TV in India today via its official Twitter handle. Additionally, the e-commerce portal Amazon has made the promo page related to the new Redmi Smart TV live which reveals key details and the launch date of the new Redmi Smart TV. As per the Amazon listing, the new Redmi Smart TV will launch in India on March 14th. The upcoming Redmi Smart TV will boot Fire OS 7 out of the box.

According to the Amazon listing, the upcoming Redmi Smart TV will have a metallic bezel-less design and it will offer an impressive audio experience. Furthermore, this new TV will have Bluetooth v5.0 support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Miracast, and Airplay support. As mentioned above, this new offering from Redmi will be powered by Fire OS 7 version. Until now, the brand has been releasing its new Smart TV with Android TV OS. This is the first time that Redmi has partnered with Amazon to introduce new Smart TV with Fire OS.
To recall, recently Xiaomi had introduced the new F2 Fire TV in Europe and the UK market back in 2022. The Xiaomi F2 TV series comes in 43, 50, and 55-inch sizes and they rely on Fire OS 7. The Fire OS 7 includes streaming services such as Apple AirPlay, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix as well as other streaming services like YouTube. These new TVs feature a 4K display, a 60Hz panel, and have HDR10/HLG content support. All three TV models ship with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a quad-core SoC, and a Mali-G52 GPU.
Furthermore, these new F2 series TVs feature dual 12W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support. These new TV also have a four HDMI 2.1 ports with ALLM functionality. The other key features which the F2 offer include is Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, USB port, Ethernet, and more. All the TV models ship with a remote control that support Alexa Voice Control. The 43-inch model retail for £339 (roughly Rs 33,400), while the 50-inch and 55-inch models are priced at £379 (~ Rs 37,400) and £424 (roughly Rs 41,800) respectively.
As of now, it is not known yet if the same Xiaomi F2 series will launch in India under the Redmi branding. We shall get to learn the detailed specifications, pricing, and availability details of the new Redmi Smart TV when it launches on March 14.
